Your Xumo Stream Box gives you flexible ways to control how you watch, listen, and connect. From picture quality and sound to network, accessibility, and privacy options, your settings help your device fit seamlessly into your everyday viewing routine.

Note: These settings apply to your Xumo Stream Box. Some apps, such as the Spectrum TV app, may also have their own settings that you'll manage separately within the app.

Customize settings on your Xumo Stream Box

Use the Settings menu to adjust how your Xumo Stream Box looks, sounds, connects, and behaves. From here, you can manage picture and audio preferences, set up accessibility features, control parental and privacy options, and customize startup and power-saving behavior.

Accessing your settings

To access the Settings menu, press the Quick Access (…) button on your remote, scroll right to Settings, then press OK.

Picture and sound

Customize your picture, audio, and language preferences.

From this menu, you can:

• Adjust picture resolution
• Choose your preferred audio language from 16 available language options.
• Configure HDMI digital audio output
• Adjust HDMI audio delay

For the best viewing experience:

• Set your resolution to 1080p for Full HD (FHD) content.
• Set your resolution to 2160p for Ultra HD (4K) content.

Network

Manage your internet connection and network settings.

From this menu, you can:

• View your network connection status
• Connect to or change your WiFi network
• Reset your network connection
• View IP settings
• Turn WiFi on or off
• Set your device location for Bluetooth connections

Accessibility

Customize accessibility features to make your viewing experience easier.

From this menu, you can:

• Turn Audio Description on or off
• Turn Closed Captions on or off
• Customize the appearance of Closed Captions
• Enable High Contrast and other accessibility features

Connected devices

Manage devices connected to your Xumo Stream Box.

From this menu, you can:

• Pair your remote with your TV
• Connect compatible audio devices, such as a soundbar or speaker system

Parental

Use parental controls to help manage purchases and app access.

From this menu, you can:

• Require a PIN for purchases
• Require a PIN before opening selected apps
• Update your parental control PIN

Privacy

Control how your Xumo Stream Box uses your information.

From this menu, you can choose whether to:

• Save your recent watch history
• Receive personalized recommendations
• Share app usage data
• Manage your advertising preferences
• Reset your advertising ID

Start up and standby

Customize how your Xumo Stream Box starts up and saves power.

From this menu, you can:

• Set when your Stream Box enters standby mode
• Choose whether to stay connected to the internet while in standby
• Set a sleep timer
• Choose whether TV playback starts automatically when your device turns on

Viewing preferences

Personalize how content appears on your Xumo Home screen.

From this menu, you can:

• Select your preferred TV provider
• Arrange the order of your apps on the Xumo Home screen

If you're a Spectrum customer, selecting Spectrum TV as your preferred TV provider helps personalize your Xumo Home screen, making it easier to access your Spectrum TV channels, Live TV Guide, and Currently Playing tile.

Note: Selecting a preferred TV provider personalizes your Xumo Home screen. It does not change your Spectrum TV service or the settings within the Spectrum TV app.

System management

Manage your device and keep it up to date.

From this menu, you can:

• View system information
• Update apps
• Refresh apps
• Restore factory settings
• Select your region and time zone
• Change the system language
• Delete locally stored data
