Your Xumo Stream Box for Spectrum includes built-in accessibility features that make watching TV easier and more enjoyable for everyone. These settings are available from the Xumo Home screen and apply across your Xumo Stream Box experience.

How to access accessibility settings
You can access Accessibility settings from the Xumo Home screen using your remote. Depending on which remote you have, there may be more than one way to open the Accessibility menu.
Option 1: Access accessibility settings from your Xumo Home screen
From the Home screen:
- Scroll down on the Xumo Home screen to the Settings tile, then press OK to select it.
- Scroll right to Accessibility using the navigation pad on your remote, then press OK to select it.
Option 2: Use the Quick Access menu
The Quick Access menu lets you turn commonly used accessibility features on or off without opening the full Settings menu.
- From the Home screen, press the Quick Access (
) button on your remote.
- Scroll right to Settings, then press OK.
XRA Large Button Remote
If you're using the XRA Large Button Remote, you can access Accessibility settings even faster:
- Press the Accessibility button on your remote to open the Accessibility menu immediately.
- Use the navigation pad to browse the available features and press OK to turn them on or off.
Available accessibility features
Once you're in the Accessibility menu, you can turn the following features on or off.

Audio description (AD) that narrates supported programs with audio descriptions of key visuals, and can beep on channels that have audio descriptions. Toggle feature On/Off based on preference.

Beep on audio description “beeps” if the channel you are on is showing an audio described program. Toggle feature On/Off based on preference.

Closed captions that display dialogue on your TV during movies and shows, which can display your custom caption size, font, and other appearance settings. Toggle feature On/Off based on preference.

Customized caption style changes the caption text size, font, background color and more. Toggle feature On/Off based on preference.

Highlight programs easily identifies programs in the TV guide which have closed caption and/or audio description.

High contrast makes text easier to read. Toggle feature On/Off based on preference.

Voice guidance reads text on your TV screen including menus, guides, and settings. Toggle feature On/Off based on preference.

Screen magnifier makes menus bigger so the text is easier to read. Toggle feature On/Off based on preference.

How to use voice commands to control accessibility features
You can also use your Xumo voice remote to control some accessibility features. Press and hold the Voice button on your remote, say a supported voice command, then release the button.
Voice commands that work on the Home screen and inside supported apps (such as Netflix and YouTube)
- "Turn Voice Guidance on."
- "Turn Voice Guidance off."
Voice commands that work on the Xumo Home screen only
- "Turn Audio Description on."
- "Turn Audio Description off."
- "Turn Closed Captions on."
- "Turn Closed Captions off."
- "Turn Screen Magnifier on."
- "Turn Screen Magnifier off."
