  • Keep your TV’s firmware up to date for the latest AirPlay improvements.

Troubleshooting AirPlay

AirPlay isn’t showing up on my Apple device

  • Fix: Make sure both your Xumo TV and Apple device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Tip: Restart both devices and try again.

Video lags or stutters during playback

  • Fix: Check your Wi-Fi signal strength. A weak connection can cause buffering.
  • Tip: Move your router closer or use a wired Ethernet connection for your TV if possible.

I’m being asked for a code every time I connect

  • Fix: This is a security feature. Navigate within the Apple/HomeKit interface to:  Settings > AirPlay and HomeKit > Require Code.

My TV turns on automatically when I AirPlay

  • Fix: This is the Wake-on-Cast feature. While convenient, it can be turned off in the AirPlay settings if you prefer manual control.

There's no sound when streaming video

  • Fix: Make sure your TV volume is up and not muted. Also, check that your Apple device isn’t set to silent or connected to Bluetooth headphones.
