Troubleshooting internet connection issues on your Xumo TV

If you’re having trouble connecting your TV to the internet, try the following steps to identify and resolve common issues.

Step 1: Check your modem or router connection

  1. Make sure your modem or router is connected to the internet.
  2. Check the lights on your modem or router to ensure they're lit up and steady.

Step 2: Check your TV's network status

  1. Go to Settings > Network on your TV.
  2. Check if your TV says it's online or offline.

Next Steps Based on Your TV’s Status

  • If your TV is offline:
    1. Test other devices (phone, computer) on the same Wi-Fi network to confirm the network is working.
    2. If other devices connect fine, the issue is likely with the TV’s connection.
  • If your TV is online but the connection is slow:
    1. Restart your modem/router. This may take up to 2 minutes.
  • If the problem persists:
    1. Move your modem or router: Try moving your modem or router closer to the TV to improve signal strength.
    2. Check with Your Internet Service Provider: If the issue persists, contact your internet service provider to see if there's a problem with the WiFi signal strength in your home.
  • Check your TV’s software: Ensure your TV is running the latest build version. Visit Update your Xumo TV for more information.
