Get more from Spectrum TV app with your Xumo Stream Box voice remote

Use your Xumo Stream Box voice remote to get more from the Spectrum TV app. Once you've opened the Spectrum TV app from the Xumo Home screen, you can use your remote to pause live TV, rewind, manage DVR recordings, browse the channel guide, and more.

Before you begin

To use the remote shortcuts in this article, you'll first need to open the Spectrum TV app.

There are several ways to open the Spectrum TV app from the Xumo Home screen, including:

Select the Currently Playing tile.
Select the Spectrum TV app from the Apps row.
Select Spectrum TV content from the Xumo Home screen, when available.
Once you're in the Spectrum TV app, you can use the remote shortcuts described below.

Note: The remote shortcuts in this article only work while you're using the Spectrum TV app. They won't work from the Xumo Home screen.

Recently watched content

While watching live TV in the Spectrum TV app, press Down on your remote's navigation pad to view the previous channel and your recently watched shows.

From here, you can:

Jump back to what you were watching
Find your viewing history quickly

Recording your favorite shows

While using the Spectrum TV app, press Up on your remote's navigation pad to access DVR options.

Record single episodes or entire series
Get more information about what's currently on
Turn closed captioning on or off

Pausing live TV

Take a break during your favorite show or the big game without missing anything. Come back and pick up right where you left off.

Press the OK button on your remote to pause live TV for up to 30 minutes.

Rewinding live TV

Missed something important? Want to watch it again? Just rewind and watch it as many times as you like.

Press Left on your remote's navigation pad to rewind live TV.

Your channel guide

Browse other channels without losing what you're watching.

Press Right on your remote’s navigation pad to see a partial guide while you keep watching your current show.

Want to browse all available channels? Select "Full Guide" in the top corner.

Your Spectrum TV app home screen

Your Spectrum TV app home screen brings everything together in one place including:

Your DVR library
On-demand content
Recent channels
Live TV guide
Shows you can continue watching

Press the Back button on your remote while using the Spectrum TV app to return to the Spectrum TV app Home screen.

When you're finished watching Spectrum TV, press the Home button on your remote to return to the Xumo Home screen to browse apps, recommendations, and other entertainment.
