What is the difference between the STARZ app and the STARZ Xumo Premium Channel?
Both the STARZ app and the STARZ Xumo Premium Channel provide access to STARZ original series, hit movies, and bold storytelling. What sets them apart is how you access the content.
• STARZ Xumo Premium Channel: The STARZ Xumo Premium Channel is built right into your Xumo device. It offers a seamless, native experience — just search for STARZ or a specific title, and the content opens instantly, feeling as simple as flipping to a channel. This subscription can only be enjoyed directly on your Xumo Stream Box or Xumo TV.
• STARZ App: A subscription to the STARZ app allows you to watch and download content within the STARZ app on your Xumo device or any other location where the STARZ app is available (e.g., smart TVs, streaming devices, gaming consoles).
Neither subscription requires a traditional TV package. However, if you already have STARZ as part of your TV package, you may be entitled to the app as part of that package. Please check with your cable provider for details.
How do I know if I am launching the channel or the app?
All Xumo Premium Channels are branded with a logo at the bottom of the promotional tile or logo tile. The STARZ app will not have any Xumo branding on it.

How do I access STARZ on Xumo?
There are two easy ways to find and watch STARZ content:

Voice Remote:
- To access the STARZ Xumo Premium Channel, simply say "STARZ” into your voice remote to browse available content, or say the name of a channel you'd like to watch to start the show instantly.
- To access the STARZ app, you can say "STARZ app" into your voice remote to launch the app.

On-Screen Navigation:
- To access Xumo Premium Channels, go to the Xumo Premium Channels row on your home screen or to the Apps menu and select Xumo Premium Channels.
- To access the STARZ app, go to the Apps menu.

If I already have the STARZ Xumo Premium Channel, can I also get the app?
The STARZ Xumo Premium Channel and the STARZ app are distinct products. If you sign up for both, you will be charged for both products separately. If you already subscribe to the STARZ Xumo Premium Channel or the STARZ app through Xumo, we will notify you prior to purchasing the alternate product. However, you have the option to subscribe to both products.
What if I accidentally sign up for both the channel and the app?
If you accidentally sign up for both products, you can easily cancel one or both subscriptions. Just go to the Subscriptions tab within your Xumo account, or simply hold and say "manage subscriptions" into your voice remote.
Note: Once you cancel, you will not be subject to any further charges.
What if I already have a subscription to the STARZ app?
If you are already a STARZ app subscriber, you can log into the STARZ app on the Xumo platform using your email and password associated with your existing account.
Does the STARZ app have a free trial?
The STARZ app does not currently offer a free trial on Xumo. The STARZ Xumo Premium Channel does offer a 7-day free trial.
Do the STARZ app or STARZ Xumo Premium Channel have ads?
All STARZ content is ad-free, regardless of whether you access it through the app or the Xumo Premium Channel.
