Parental controls help you create a safer viewing environment for your family by restricting access to certain apps and purchases. With a simple PIN, you can decide which content your household can access and prevent unauthorized purchases. Each Xumo Stream Box can have its own unique PIN and settings, giving you flexible control over multiple devices.

How to set up your PIN
- Open Settings
- Go to Parental section
- Select Manage PIN Settings
- Enter in a PIN of your choice that you'll remember
- You will see a message confirming the PIN is ready to use.
- Select Continue
How to change your PIN
- Open Settings
- Go to Parental section
- Select Manage PIN Settings
- Re-enter PIN
- Select PIN for Purchase to require pin entry before in-app and on platform purchases
- Select PIN for Apps to require pin entry before launching an app
- Within the you can individually select which apps to lock or lock all apps
How to remove your PIN
- To remove a pin, go to Settings > Parental > Change PIN
- Enter your current PIN
- Select Change PIN
- Enter in the new PIN
- Confirm the new PIN
What if I forget my PIN?
If you forget your PIN, you will need to factory reset your device to clear the PIN. To factory reset the device go to Settings > System Management > Resets & Updates > Factory Reset
Note: Parental control settings are specific to each Xumo Stream Box. If you have more than one device, you’ll need to set up parental controls on each one separately.
