Do I need a Xumo account to use my Xumo Stream Box?

Yes. You must register your Xumo Stream Box with a Xumo account to use your device. All you need to provide is an email and password. If you are a Spectrum customer, you can access your Xumo account via your Spectrum credentials.

Note: For Xfinity customers, a Xumo account is not required to use your Xumo Stream Box. You will use your Xfinity username and password.

Your account allows you to:

  • Manage your Xumo app subscriptions, preferences, and payment methods in one place.
  • Link and manage multiple Xumo devices under a single account.
  • Access a full history of your purchases and rentals.

Creating your Xumo account

How do I create my Xumo account?

You’ll be prompted to create a Xumo account during the initial setup of your Xumo Stream Box. Just follow the steps below:

  1. Follow the on-screen setup instructions.
  2. When the QR code appears, scan it using your smartphone or tablet.
  3. You’ll be taken to the Xumo account creation page.
  4. Enter your email address and create a secure password.
  5. (Optional) Add a credit or debit card to make purchases from your Xumo Stream Box.

Note: If you're a Spectrum customer, you can choose Continue with Spectrum to log in using your Spectrum credentials instead.

I don’t see a pairing code on my Xumo Stream Box. What should I do?

To connect your Xumo Stream Box to your Xumo account, enter the 6-digit code you see on-screen at xumo.com/activate. If you reach the Link your Account screen and do not see a 6-digit code appear, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Wait 30 seconds.

If you’re still not seeing a code:

  1. Select Skip & Set up later.
  2. Confirm that you want to skip that step.
  3. Select the Xumo tile.
  4. Repeat, if necessary.

If you’re still not seeing a code appear after these steps, try unplugging your device and plugging it back in, then repeating the activation process.

Managing your Xumo account 

How can I manage my method of payment?

You can add, change, and remove your method of payment at any time through your Xumo account at xumo.com/account.

How do I reset my password?

Resetting your password is fast, easy, and helps keep your Xumo experience secure.

  1. Go to xumo.com/account.

  2. Enter your email address associated with your Xumo account.
  3. Select Forgot your Password?
  4. Follow the instructions to reset your password via email.

Note: If you're a Spectrum customer and signed in with your Spectrum credentials, you'll need to reset your password through the Spectrum website by following these steps:

  1. Select Continue with Spectrum on the Xumo account login page.
  2. You will be redirected to Spectrum's sign in page where you can select Forgot Username or Password.

Using your Xumo account across multiple devices

Can I use the same Xumo account for multiple Xumo Stream Boxes?

Yes! You can link multiple Xumo devices to the same account. Just sign in with your Xumo account when you set up your device.

Can I use the same Xumo account that I use for my Xumo TV?

Yes! A Xumo account is for all your Xumo devices, including Xumo TV and Xumo Stream Box. Just sign in with your Xumo account when you set up your device.
