You can connect external devices, such as a media player or game console, using HDMI, composite connections, USB, or an antenna.
Here’s how to connect another device to your Xumo TV:
- Connect your device using the appropriate input on the back of the TV.
- Press the Input button on your remote.
- Select the input your device is connected to (composite, media player, etc.) with the directional pad and it will search for the signal.
- If you’re not seeing a signal, check your device’s connections or switch inputs
- For a composite connection, ensure the cables are matched: yellow for video and red/white for stereo audio

How do I connect my TV antenna to my Xumo TV?
If you have a TV antenna, you can connect it to your Xumo TV to watch live broadcast channels.
Note: Xumo TV does not support QAM (cable input), you must use an antenna.
To connect an antenna:
- Plug your antenna into your TV’s Antenna port.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions about where to place your antenna for the best signal.
How do I watch the channels I get with my antenna?
Xumo TVs support over-the-air channels through an antenna connection. The steps to access and scan for channels vary slightly depending on which version of the Xumo TV interface you have.
There are two ways to identify your version:
- Press the
button on your remote or scroll down to the Settings tile on your home screen.
- If the first item in the Settings menu is Closed captions, follow the instructions for the Berry version.
- If the first item in the Settings menu is Picture and sound, follow the instructions for the Teal version.
- Look for one of the following logos in the top-left corner of your TV screen:

Once you've identified your version, follow the corresponding instructions below.
Berry version: Launching the Antenna input
You can launch the Antenna input using one of the following three options:
A. Using the remote:
- Press the Input button on your remote.
- Scroll to the right and select the Antenna tile.
B. Using a voice command:
- Press and hold the
button on your remote.
- Say “Antenna” or "TV input."
C. Using the power button on the TV:
- Press the Power button on your TV panel.
- Press it again to scroll through the input list until Antenna is highlighted.
- Wait three seconds.
Scanning for channels
When you first launch the Antenna input, follow the on-screen instructions and scan for channels:
- Wait while your TV scans for channels – this can take several minutes.
- When the channel scan is finished, you’ll see the number of channels that were found.
- When the scan is complete, select Continue.
Note: Once the scan is complete, you can use the Direct tune to channels section below to jump to a specific channel. If you need to search for new channels later, see the Rescan for channels section.
Teal version: Launching the Antenna input
You can launch the Antenna input using one of the following three options:
A. Using the remote:
- Press INPUT on your remote.
- Select the Antenna tile.
B. Using the Home Screen:
- Press the Home button on your remote.
- Select the Apps and inputs (view all) tile.
- Use the navigation pad on your remote to scroll down to Inputs > Antenna.
Note: The Inputs option inside the Apps & Inputs tile is only visible if you haven’t used the Manage Apps feature to customize your apps list.
C. Using a voice command:
- Press and hold the
button on your remote.
- Say “Antenna.”
Scanning for channels

- Wait while your TV scans for channels – this can take several minutes.

Rescan for channels
If you need to rescan for channels later (e.g., if you moved your antenna), follow these steps:
- Open the Antenna input
- Press DPAD right
- Scroll to Settings
- Select Channel setup
- Select Antenna
- Select Search
Direct tune to channels with the number button(s) on your remote
If your remote has number buttons and you know the number of the TV station you wish to watch:
- Launch the Antenna input (per steps above).
- Press a number button on the remote.
- Keep pressing number buttons until you have the full channel number entered, or use the navigation pad on your remote to select from the list.
- Press OK to tune to the channel.
